Topical Class The Christian Life Teacher: TBD Room: 202

Course Description: Three units make up the study of The Christian Life.
1. The Goal of the Christian Life. Christians must do everything for God's glory (1 Cor. 10:31). We glorify God by setting our sights on the life-purpose God has defined for us. It is the highest and noblest pursuit of all: taking on the image of His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. That goal requires true Biblical faith. As we walk by faith, we will grow to walk like the Son. 2. The Believer's Responsibilities in Spiritual Development. Salvation is by grace through faith. God promises the grace we need to fulfill every responsibility that He places on us as part of the growth process. The role of the church, the living Body of Christ, is central, even as we consider matters of Bible study, prayer, and obedience to God's will. 3. The Believer's Responsibilities in Spiritual Expression. Christianity is a personal faith but not a self-focused religion. God expects His children to minister to others, and He fully equips them for that ministry. In the Christian life, each believer must share salvation in Christ with those who are lost. In balance with that witnessing, each must also minister to help others grow in Christ. This balance requires vigilance against the most common agents of spiritual ruin.
