What is Christian Youth In Action?

Christian Youth In Action is a training and summer ministry program of Child Evangelism Fellowship® Inc. All across the nation, hundreds of young people are trained each year to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Participants are involved in outreach ministries which may include (but are not limited to) Summer Bible Clubs (5-Day Clubs®), open air, fair ministry, day camps and overnight camps. In many states, CYIA has grown to include year-round activities, training and ministry.

Who may participate?

CYIA is designed specifically for Teens and College Students.

You must be 14 years old or older, complete the 10 day CEF training, and have a good recommendation from your church to become a Summer Missionary.  Cost is $165 and includes all teaching materials, room & board, meals, and training.  All candidates must have pre-training.

CYIA also encourages Pre-teens to participate as "missionaries in waiting."  As such, they learn from and also assist the Summer Missionaries in their efforts.

What are the requirements?

In Texas, participants must satisfactorily complete a 10 day training program. While the CYIA training is intense, it is also spiritually challenging and fun! Check the
Calendar of Events for class dates.

After completing the required training, paid summer missionaries are agree to serve for a minimum of four weeks, while volunteer summer missionaries typically serve for a minimum of three clubs.
